Rubrik, a data-management software company backed by Microsoft , priced its IPO at $32 a share, according to a person familiar with the matter. Rubrik raised $752 million through the initial public offering, valuing the company at $5.6 billion. Rubrik now gets 91% of its revenue from subscriptions, up from 59% two years ago. Revenue increased less than 5% in the fiscal year that ended on Jan. 31, but annual recurring revenue from subscriptions jumped 47%. CNN —US prosecutors on Tuesday announced charges against four Iranian men for a sprawling hacking campaign that targeted US federal agencies and sensitive data held by American defense contractors. It was not immediately clear whether the departments of State or Treasury networks were successfully hacked in the campaign. In the indictment unsealed Tuesday, Hossein Harooni, Reza Kazemifar, Alireza Shafie Nasab and Komeil Baradaran Salmani were charged with wire and computer fraud, among other charges. Nasab had been charged in a previous indictment unsealed in the Southern District of New York in February. Prosecutors accused three of the men of working for a front company in Iran that purported to offer cybersecurity services.

A US Army officer said military trainers had warned soldiers of the dangers of cellphone use. Ukraine has used Russian soldiers' cellular data to locate and target their positions. But they are also potentially lethal for the soldiers carrying them, a US Army officer has said. Maj. Gen. Curtis Taylor told Jack Detsch, a reporter at Foreign Policy, that Army trainers had been warning soldiers about the dangers of taking cellphones on operations. Russian sources claim 89 soldiers were killed in the strikes, while Ukraine put the number at around 400.

New York CNN —The Mona Lisa can now do more than smile, thanks to new artificial intelligence technology from Microsoft. In one demo video, researchers showed how they animated the Mona Lisa to recite a comedic rap by actor Anne Hathaway. Outputs from the AI model, called VASA-1, are both entertaining and a bit jarring in their realness. “We are opposed to any behavior to create misleading or harmful contents of real persons,” Microsoft researchers said in a blog post. For example, in one demo video set to a clip of someone sounding agitated, apparently while playing video games, the face speaking has furrowed brows and pursed lips.
